SOMA was founded by two Swedes who have made Italy their home for more than ten years — bringing together different but complementary perspectives.

One of us is drawn to atmosphere, places and the details that make people feel welcome. The other follows the food, wine, roads and local knowledge that bring a landscape to life.

For us, luxury is not more. It is knowing which road to take, whose table to sit at and when to leave the day unplanned.
Our story
From one house to a way of travelling.
More than a decade ago, Italy became our home. The house was our first chapter — a place through which we began sharing the people, landscapes and everyday rituals that had made this country feel so particular to us.
Over time, friends began asking where they should stay, which roads they should take and where they could experience something genuine rather than arranged for visitors. Those questions became SOMA.
Today, we bring together houses and experiences that we choose personally, shaped around the people arriving rather than a standard itinerary.
